How to paint a Turquoise Wave

I’ve been working on a new wave painting this week “Turquoise Wave II”. To show you some of the stages my work goes through I though I would write a short blog post about my process. Here is a video and some photos showing how I work.

TurquoiseWave Stage One of painting process

Stage One. Here I have mapped out the main areas of this new turquoise wave painting. I have also worked on the main turquoise and viridian green shades. Also the tonal contrast.

Stage Two of Turquoise Wave painting

Stage Two. I have worked on some more detail particularly on the surf area. Working on some fractal patterns in the foreground
