New paintings

Art has the power to evoke emotions and trigger memories, and this newest set of paintings added to my website, I hope does just that. My work is inspired by the captivating beauty of both the ocean and the waves that come from it.

Imagine standing on the shoreline, your toes sinking into the soft sand as you gaze out at the vast expanse of ocean before you. The waves crash against the shore, their turquoise hues reflecting like precious gems in the sunlight.

Turquoise Wave Paintings

Studies have shown that being near the ocean can have a profound impact on us. The sound of waves crashing against the shore can create a meditative ambiance that soothes our minds and helps us unwind. The colour turquoise, often associated with the sea, has been found to have a calming effect on the human psyche, promoting feelings of serenity and peace. Turquoise is one of the main colours I choose for most of my paintings. I am drawn to its many beautiful shades from deep blue turquoise through greenish hues and onto those tinged with pale yellow.

By immersing ourselves in the sea, whether physically or mentally, we can reduce stress and promote overall well-being. The ocean has a way of reminding us to slow down, breathe deeply, and appreciate the present moment. It encourages us to let go of our worries and immerse ourselves in the vastness and beauty of nature.

Protect our oceans

I feel incredibly blessed to be able to express my love for the ocean through my artwork. I hope my paintings can remind collectors that we need to protect our oceans and be part of something larger than ourselves. The “Surfers Against Sewage” campaign aims to ensure a cleaner, healthier, and safer ocean for future generations to come.
